Hi, i thought i'd just share a few up to date pics of my axies Oscar & Rose hope thats ok. Since i first got them i have changed the tank quite a bit and to me both axies look very different now and have really grown, they're now 19cm long! The lady i got them from had been told they were male & female hence the names i gave them but to be honest i suspect they're both female now but i still usually call Os 'he'!

I love Oscar and Rose :) They have the most gorgeous gills I've ever seen! So long and feathery! Oscar is very pretty I love his coloring... so unique. And I've said before... I love that pic of them nose to nose.

I love Oscar! He has super cool colors!!
I havnt seen one with such a bright green!:)

We have the same PVC angle and 'wood' hide my two love the right angle hide I dug it in under the sand like a bunker, I love the albino's gills

Thanks for the lovely comments, i have to admit i was never very keen on wild types but these two were being sold as a pair so i couldnt resist and i wouldnt be without him now (actually i think he's more likely a her now but its a habit to say 'him' lol!) as he's grown his colours have really come out, he's 20cm now so i'm not sure how much more growing he'll do but i hope his colours will stay nice and bright.

Since i got them Rose has changed even more than Os, her gills were really stubby and not very feathery but now theyre really long and bright, looking back at old pics its amazing to see how they've grown and changed, i hope it means theyre happy and healthy.

They love the pipes, i cant remember where i first saw the idea posted but its great whoever thought of it, so simple and inexpensive but look good and axies love them!

I wish i'd started with axies years ago, i'm definitely hooked now, they are so fascinating to watch and definitely have individual personalities and funny ways, i love them to bits!
