Orphans!

I was getting some images off my camera for a different thread and saw some pics of some Micromys minutus that were orphaned and thought I would share them.

Too adorable...my eyes....argh...
I love these guys, they only exist in the northernmost part of Spain, but i´ve seen them a couple of times and they are amazing. Acrobatic little buggers!
I heard of people keeping these in captivity in largish, naturalistic terrariums...i would love to see that!

They are almost perfect for captivity, they have such a small natural range. I have kept them for a long time now and have participated in breeding and reintroduction programmes. I currently have two colonies each in 45x45x60 exo terra terrariums.
They are very fun to watch (see attached image of one setup).

I used to have to rescue these from my grandfathers terrier. Never crossed my mind they would cope with captivity. Keep up the great work.

That is merely a holiday home, my normal residence is on a tropical island shaped like a skull.

And yes, my minions have taken over many worlds Molch, it is all within my plan for intersteller domination, Mwahahahaha!
