Question: Options for a 40 long?

I would love an interesting option for my 40 long. its 4 sq ft of space, I can do an aquatic set up or terrestrial but I want something that will be out and about.

I already have Axolotls and Cyanurus.

If you prefer aquatics, then Spanish Ribbed newts would be great. They're available captive bred and the juveniles aren't difficult. And they have great personality!

Its too bad there aren't more colorful newts. Wanting aquatic and colorful severely limits my options ... * much to my boyfriends thrill*

N. Kaiseri is a colorful newt but not usually recommended for beginners and can be pricey too
