My cynops orientalis just developed open wounds all over their bodys. one appeared one its head and the other newt has them on its tail. what could cause these? they are round and look like holes. how do i fix the problem? they were kept terrestrial and now since the wounds developed they are kept aquatic

Hi , i developed the same problem once... this can occur by stress levels or a bacterium...
i would say isolate each newt and treat with salt water wash...
if no improvement is made .. please seek veternary attention immediately..

Question are these newly purchased?

I'd recommend moving them back to terrestrial. See "dirt quarantine" information in the health articles that Dawn linked.
