Cephalotus follicularis... not really a tropical, but not really a temperate plant either

This is only a few of the plants, but i hope you enjoyed seeing them :)

These photos are very nice! I like the deep reds, very pretty. How work intensive is keeping up with so many?

Gorgeous, you must have a greenhouse, I envy you.

Fantastic, but what do you feed them? Do they live outside or just visit.

nice :D
no fly around your house will be safe xD

Wow, amazing collection. I love them, especially thatSarracenia leucophylla, it looks almost winterish :))

Fantastic, but what do you feed them?

the in-laws maybe? Some of them look big enough.

they are so exquisite and beautiful. I love how every funnel comes with its own little umbrella/canopy above it. Amazing what mama nature comes up with.

Thanks guys!
These plants are actually quite easy, but their are a few that are not...
I do have a greenhouse, but it is only used for my tropicals from late spring through early fall, as it is not heated... The temperate plants like Sarracenia, Dionaea, and some of my Drosera (not pictured here) are left outdoors year round, going dormant from October through mid march early April.... We have a relatively short growing period in the Pac. NW.

During winter, my tropicals are grown under fluorescent lighting.

I love your plants especially the pitchers :p

Fantastic. I have a few pitcher plants but they don't begin to compare to yours. Thanks for sharing,

Very nice. I have a small collection of CP's but again nothing compared to yours. Overall I do well with plants in general but my blackest thumb seems to be with Nepenthes. I do not have a greenhouse and have never had any of them do well long term on a windowsill. I do enjoy my various Sarracenia's and vft's in container gardens however and the best part is I mostly leave them in the garage all winter and barely have to do anything but add water every so often. I often wish that the herps were that easy.

The scientific names of plants leave my head quickly. I have a real small miniature nepenthes. A Canadian Saracenia, and a bigger Nepenthes that hangs down. I had a N. belii in my dart frog terrarium for awhile but it did not thrive.

The most success that I ever had was with one of the really small species (cannot recall the name). I kept it in a fish tank converted to a miniature greenhouse. It actually lived for about a year and put out new pitchers before eventually dying from a scale infestation. BTW Michael that sundew that I bought from Black Jungle at that last MARS show has done so well that it has spread to two of my container gardens.

Wow that's awesome have you ever showed your plants like at a fair or somewhere?

Congratulations! your plants are beautiful, that envy hehe

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
