I just found that there's tons of eyes in Olive's tank, and she's still laying all around on the live plants! I'm so exciting!

I'm going to send some eggs to Gaara in Australia, if anybody knows what's the best method to ship to oversea? It may be take up to 5 days. If anyone knows if they'll survive?

yeah id like to babysit for Morrissey :p Come on people, any ideas? I thought empty photographic film canisters filled with water would do, but they might not get oxygen after a few days..

Matthew better check with your Ministry of Agricultural and Fisheries department or equivalent to see if you are able to receive (basically import) them. The eggs may be restricted, and may come under any quarantine act that your country has if they do allow them in. Also, the water it's shipped in would have to be disinfected according to Australia's standards prior to disposal. This is standard practice with both NZ and Oz (brother works for our MAF department and works alongside customs dept.)

btw Morrisey, congratulations, lot of work you have ahead of you if you intend rearing a bunch of them.

As far as I know, you cannot import these into Australia.

They're also CITES II listed, meaning they're regulated world-wide. You would need a CITES permit to ship them internationally.

Yeah it's all good - I checked yesterday with the Quarantine department and they'd just end up destroying the eggs anyway. It's a shame, because I would have got a kick out of seeing his axies playing with my axies.
