Hmmm, has anyone read the wikipedia entry for c.pyrrhogaster before? you wont like it!

"It isn't a good idea to house them with other amphibians other than their own kind because the fire-bellied toad is known to try to eat newts. They may be housed with their close relative, Cynops orientalis but it is not recommended as Cynops pyrrhogaster tends to get larger by at least two inches."

Wikipedia isn't exactly the most trustworthy website. If I were looking for info on C. Pyrrhogaster, I'd come here!

Sigh. I love wikidpedia in general. But every time I look at any of their caudate-related entries, I feel overwhelmed. Overwhelmed by the simultaneous urge to spend hundreds of hours filling in the correct information - and the urge to run away! So far, I have simply run away. I have enough work to do around here.

Actually, those two sentences aren't all that bad. It's approximately correct.

Oh don't worry, I know that! I just came across it when I was looking at something else.

I don't think any species should be housed with an other species that it wouldn't find it its natural habitat.

I find it funny they say "don't house them with anything other than their own kind", and the only example they give of why is because fire-belly toads may eat them. It's weirdly worded.

Might get a bit tricky if you include plants... or livefood... or protozoa... or bacteria...
