I Just bought a new axolotl as a tank mate for my First one.
My First is a Golden Albino about the size of my Hand and the other is a Smaller Skinny Grey Wild type.
At first the Albino was scared and hid away, The Grey one even nipped once towards it.
My Albino is now rubbing its tail against the Smaller Grey one and lying on top and underneath of it.
They had only been introduced about 10 minutes and this started happening. And it's still going on.

I'm not sure if this is a sign of Dominance or something?
I'm also not sure of the Genders as the Albino has a bump on the back of it's legs about the size of a small finger nail. And the Grey one is too small to tell.

Hi please reply to this one someone as my Albino and Golden were doing a similar dance and they have been together since before christmas.
I thought it may be some kind of breeding dance but even though they have the telltell black tips to their toes their gender is not yet obvious.

That's pretty common with new introductions. They're getting to know each other.

Did you quarantine your new addition first?

I Didn't because they had already been in the fish tank in the pet shop when i got my first.
