He can be a bit cheeky yeah! His original owner rescued him from a lady that used to feed him beef burgers, and smack his cage and shout at him when he squawked

and he was just treated terribly so he doesn't have much faith in women.
Then unfortunately the owner who had him before us had to move to place that wouldn't allow animals, so we said we'd look after him. :happy: We still talk to the person who rescued him from that nasty woman, and he always leaves us food for Jake, so his always well fed
It's taken us a while to get him to trust us (as it's just me and my mum, and my girl cat, so a bunch of girls here!) We can't hold him, but he does let us tickle his head and feed him.
He makes the strangest noises.... he whines like a puppy, does the telephone ringing, my cat meowing, blows kisses, mimicks coughs and sniffles, and also mimicks our old washing machine bleeping when it had finished a cycle. He says his own name all the time 'Jake, jakee, Hello Jake!' and he also says: 'Oh shut up!' and wolf whistles. :dizzy:
