And a species name for us people not in the know... though I think it looks like something beginning with R.

Thanks Henk - I should give myself more credit next time. They are lovely photographs. Are these taken with your A2? I hope you don't mind that I've added the species name to the thread's name.

Thank you for sharing

awesome animal, somebody told me its name was Winston...

Incredible pictures and animals Henk. I don't doubt that Jen would like to use them on Caudata Culture. Perhaps you could tell us some more about them?

Thanks for sharing!

Well some more explanation is perhaps due. These are probably the sole couple of animals under captive conditions. There have been various (unsuccesfull) trials to breed with them so far. hoping this might result in an effective breeding
... The first shot is the male, the 2nd one is the female. hoping to post more later

Well I owuld be quite happy to hear your expertise on those Kaysie

I myself have never used viagra, so I would have no idea. But its worth a shot

Edit: please note that I meant for you to give the newts the viagra, as evidently someone deemed what I said borderline offensive.

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
