I have been cycling my tank for about 7 weeks now. I have been spiking the ammonia in the water & it's back down to 0 within 24 hours now. The Nitrites finally dropped, but the PH is still almost 8.0 & the NitrAtes are off the charts. This is my 1st time fishless cycling. Do I need to do anything, or just keep spiking the ammonia & waiting?

Thanks!

The only way to bring down nitrate is regular water changes :)

Spot26 is right, you'll have to do a large water change (if not all) before you add any animals to the tank. And do smaller water changes at least once a week to keep the nitrAtes down.

Thanks guys! I did some more reasearch after posting this & read that as well. So my tank is finally almost done, yay!
