Question: Nitrates in tap water

My tap water holds Nitrates which is causing my tank water to be on the high side around 40ppm most of the time. Is there any way to remove Nitrates before adding the dechlorinated tap water to the tank?

I've read about reverse osmosis, but wasn't sure if there was an easier solution.

Answered my own question for this one.

Seems there are a few options to fight back against the Nitrate in tap water.

1. Reverse Osmosis Filter -

Needs to be plumbed into your water supply and a faucet that has to be installed onto a sink or counter, filters must be purchased periodically. This option is costly.

2. Pozzani Nitrate Removal Filter -
Aquarium Nitrate Removal Filter
Needs to be plumbed into your water supply and a faucet that has to be installed onto a sink or counter, filters must be purchased periodically. This option is slightly cheaper but still costly.

3. Seachem Prime -
Seachem. Prime
NitrAte is bound and held in a inert state making it easier for bacteria in the biological filter and/or plants break it apart and use it.
This is not a full proof solution as after 48 hours the Nitrates are released.

If anyone has any other ideas then let me know, for now I think I'm going to plant my tank with 4/5 species of plant and try the Seachem Prime.
