Question: Newts

Spanish ribbed newts are a good species to start off with. They are easy to look after and easy to find as captive bred youngsters. They are greedy, hardy and its fun to watch them clowning around with each other. I've posted you a care sheet underneath. :)
I would strongly urge you to avoid anything from a pet store, Pet store newts are always taken from the wild and are usually highly stressed and/or sick. They are difficult to rehabilitate and often don't make it beyond a few weeks, even with expert care.

Spanish ribbed newts are a great starter species. And they can tolerate slightly higher temperatures than other species. They grow big too, which I think makes them more interesting.
