newts out of water

for a totally aquatic species .. mine seem to spend a lot of time out of it, even the morphs i have , all of my water parameters are fine , does this happen with anyone elses ribbed newts ?

What is the setup like? If there is a large and comfortable land area, it wouldn't be a total surprise if the newts chose to spend time there.

ill take some pics today, its a three footer about 10 inches water with floating java moss covered polystyrene land areas, its well planted , i know the female gets up there for some peace from the male's constant attention , i think you may be right jen, its very quite in my newt room and nobody but me goes in there , so maybe they are just very comfortable! which is a nice thought :talker:
