Just a couple minutes ago I went out to take some pictures of my newts. Unfortunately my camera was not charged but I still got to see the wonderful world of newts in the night time. In the dim light of my flash light I saw my paramesotriton, which are normally statues during the day were parading around the aquarium at high speed, following and occasionally sniffing each other. My axolotl, also a statue by day, was walking around the bottom of its aquarium. My Cynops orientalis was wandering around on land at what seemed like super caudate speeds. Though I did not get what I came for I gained a greater apreciation of my pets, and will probably incorperate these night time visits (my newts live in a garden shed) into my evenings, hopefully next time I will bring a fully charged camera.
