Question: Newts and Platys?

Hi again Miss me, jokes
I was wondering, would it be possible for my newts to live in a tank with fish ( specifically platys)? If so i would get a big enough tank for them to both fit in aswell as space for them to move around, but my main concern is would the newts/platys try and eat the other?
And would the newst try to eat the platy fry ( babies)?

Fish and newts together is generally not a good idea.
