Newt

About atleast 6 months ago my daughter won a newt from a fair. To me it looked like a tadpole and I stuck it in an aquarium with two goldfish we already have. The newt hasnt changed at all since we got it. It wont grow legs. I still looks like a tadpole.

Any ideas?

Is there any chance that you could post a photo? It's hard to make any guess about what it is. Does it have external gills? How large is it?

It's generally better to keep newts/salamanders separate from fish. Goldfish aren't the worst companions, but they do tend to pollute the water more than newts/sals do, and they tend to increase the stress level for the newt/sal.

What new age fair is this? I only remember half dead goldfish being given away at the fair....

No I cant post a pic my camera isnt working right. It was a fair here in Florida. Throw the ping pong balls win a goldfish or newt.

I do however have a new pet a Southern Leopard Frog and Leopard frog tadpole

Does it have external gills?
