Update, The newt is eating I'm hand feeding it food. But it still refuses to enter the water and when I place it in shallow water it kind of floats it's skin has air bubbles. Could stuck skin be causing issues? I don't know why a healthy, aquatic newt suddenly wants to be a land dweller? If it was sick why is it eating? I thought the tank mate newt was an issue but putting it alone won't change its land behavior either I tried. Is it reaching sexual maturity and at that time they go on land???

As I said before, its very unusual for settled captive Chinese firebellies to become terrestrial, but if you're sure nothing is stressing or bothering it, maybe move it to a more terrestrial set up? Its unclear weather H. orientalis spend much time on land in the wild, but I would guess some will have to when their ponds dry out from time to time, so maybe its just doing what comes naturally. The problem you're having reminds me of this thread from a while ago.
