I have seen this a couple times but it is truly amazing everytime. How long did it take for the frog to die? Is that time lapsed?

I'm going to bet that this is completely staged. I feel bad for that poor bullfrog (despite the fact that he's an evil invasive species).
Not that this couldn't or wouldn't happen in nature... Just the chances of it happening in front of the documentary cameras are slim.

AJ, the commentary says the frog dies within minutes.
I'm glad there was a spoiler in the thread title... otherwise it would have been horrible to watch.
I know it's morally wrong but I do root for my favourite animals in situations like these. Another great video is the killer tortoise chasing cats out of its garden (I keep tortoises as well) even though the cats don't die in this case. (I'm not putting in a link because I don't want to hijack this thread with non-newt related stuff so just look for "the killer tortoise" on youtube it if you're interested.)
