Newt ID needed

I have a group of young newts that I am pretty sure are of the genus Triturus. They have sold orange underbellies, and an orange stripe runnning from the back of the head to the tip of the tail. There backs and sides are dark charcoal gray with greenish-blue patches. Any ideas? They only left the water a month ago, and are less than an inch long.

Its hard to guess from what you said, have you got any pics?

Sounds like they could be Alpine Newts probably T alpestris apuanus
