This spring i want to obtain some smooth newt eggs and record them until they reach metamorposis then release then to make a montarge. However how on earth am i gonna find newt eggs!!

You can buy and get newts from the buy and sell section of they forum. If they live around your area then go to a nearby pond and watch in the water and you might be lucky!

It needs to be newt breeding season. If you have vernal pools near by(pools that dry up part of the year and contain no fish) and know the breeding season for your local newts it shouldn't be a problem. Newt and salamanders make breeding migrations when it rains in the spring. Being June now, the breeding season is over in my region and most eggs have probably already hatched and are larvae now. You should do some research on smooth newt breeding patterns in particular and figure out what their mating season is in general and in your area. Then, locate an area that has been known to house smooth newt, find a vernal pool, and look for clusters of pearl-like eggs on the undersides of leaves. If you want to do this, you have to work hard and look everywhere. Also, make sure you know how to properly collect and care for the eggs until they hatch and be able to identify dead eggs so you aren't filming nothing. Hope this helps.
