Just wondering if there's any compatability problems between p labiatus and a brazilian pennywort plant, i have one in my tank right now, but some of the leaves are curling or rotting.

There shouldn't be any issue with this plants as it does well down to about 64F, tolerates current, and even low light conditions. If you've only had the plant a few days then the curling leaves should be expected, but they will regain there shape back within a week. I would also recommend pruning the rotting leaves off, this will encourage new growth in it's place.

ok, when you say pruning the leaves do you mean the one leaf or the whole stalk, one whole stalk looks sickly now

and at what point should i prune it, when it curls slightly, after it discolors, or when it's totally curled?
