Just a few photos - they're still settling in (but seem to be smiling :p )...

Enough teasing - here's a complete shot of one of the females...

These are big salamanders - the male is about 25cm/10" long and females are about 28cm/11"...
Very active and have a veracious appetite - they each had a pinkie within minutes of being put into tank...

Nice tigers, please post a photo of the tank they are in.

As requested, here's a photo of my 'Tiger Tank'

Tim! Beautiful tank!

love tank wonderful setup

Tim - beautiful set-up and animals. Could I ask, however, with such a complex set-up, how often do you clean the vivarium and replace substrate? Is the process difficult with all of the plantings? How long have the animals been living in this vivarium?

They're in an old TropiQuarium 88 tank = 130 litres (34.5 US Gallons/30 Imp Gallons), L: 85cm/33.5" x W: 37cm/14.5" x H: 55cm/21.5"

I use eco-earth substrate, sphagnum moss, and fern along with cork bark hollow logs... Extra large exo-terra water dish, with pebbles so not too deep... I redo the whole tank ever month or so - everything is throughly cleaned and rinsed out replacing any bad soil/plants, etc (tank cleaned out with tamodine-e and throughly rinsed)... Water is conditioned with repti-safe and changed every day...

I've had them for about a month - They ate out of my fingers within minutes of putting in the tank; they now 'recognise' me and come to the front of the tank when i get close and 'beg' for food...

Thanks Tim - I've always wondered about more complex set ups and how frequently they were actually cleaned. Sounds like you are doing a great job of it! Again, very beautiful animals and vivarium.

Here they are just before feeding time - coming to the front of the tank...

That's a cute picture. The salamanders might actually prefer having a deep water bowl though, as long as it can be easily exited. At least, mine like to almost fully submerge whenever they do enter the water. The bowl is 4 inches deep, with a large rock. Again, great tank and animals.

They are really cute, do they always come out of their hiding place at feeding time?

Really cool to see those tigers in a nice setup

They come out of their holes whenever I go near the tank...

They get up on their hind quarters when I feed them (like a dog begging for food)
