So I'm new to salamanders. I rescue turtles and fish usually but last month I happened into what I believe are Dicamptodon Tenebrosus. So if anyone thinks its something different please let me know.
They are very tame understand the concept of what a human is(food dispenser) and can be fed by hand which leads me to believe they've been in captivity for a while.
The person I got them from was annoyed because they wouldn't die so I'm not really sure how long he had them. So it was either my home or out on the sidewalk next to the 2nd busiest steet in the city.

They are definately Tigers and good looking ones.

Thanks. That's gonna make things a lot easier.

A 55 gallon would be awesome, but a 20 gal long is fine for the both of them. I'm just saying this in case you worried their tank right now was too small.

Awe...I can't believe your friend was hoping they would die! They are beautiful. They must be hearty little souls.

That is how I happened on my first C. Orientalis though. My friend said that her daughter had lost interest in it, and she didn't want to flush it. I said I would take it for sure!

I wish you the best of luck with them, and welcome to the forum!:D
