Hey guys im a bit new to newts,
bought them in my local fish shop and the guy said it would be fine to put them with my fish,
but after further research i have read that 24 degrees (the temp of my tank) is too hot for them, they dont seem to bothered but how can i tell if they r stressed??

I'am guessing your talking about 24 C.Thats around 75ish F and Fire bellied newts should be kept cooler.Plus newts should not be kept with fish!Unless you want the fish to be food or the newt to be food.It also stress's the newt.Get a seperate 10 gallon for the newt.Semi-aquatic setup but other people have luck keeping them fully aquatic with lots and lots of vegatation.

This is a seriously bad idea, firebellies like cold water with a maximum temperature of 20 but preferably around 17 to 18 degrees C, and they will be stressed even if it is hard to tell in newts.
Fish and newts as a general rule really dont like being around each other.
Basically the petshop told you what you wanted to hear to make a sale.

Signs of stress might include climbing the sides of the tank, not eating, staying on land, poor health, etc.

Thanks guys they are now moved so were all good :D
