So I am thinking of breeding but not for a long while probably. I want to do as much preparation for it that I can. So my idea is to start with a few eggs. Maybe like 5 or something. Super small and contained. Now I know you can't control how many eggs the female has but my question is how do you cull the eggs. I want to be as humane as possible and I've done some reading about it and its mostly some chemical of some sort.

So how do you do it?

Thanks for the info!!!

The best and most humane way is to separate the eggs you don't want into a tupperware container and put it in the freezer. Do this as soon as possible after they are laid so that the eggs are not significantly developed. This is how I culled my eggs. Very good idea to start small. I have 10 babies now and even that is a handful!

Ok I was thinking about freezing but I was reading the tutorials posted in this site about breeding and when I followed the link it said freezing is not good unless the are anesthesized and instantly frozen. So I was unsure that even if I did it early enough would that count.

Freezing is humane for freshly laid eggs, as it takes a bit of time for the nervous system to develop. There is no pain without a nervous system.

The freezing is to be done before their nervous system develops, meaning in a few days after the eggs are laid. If you need to cull them after they've hatched then for example clove oil and ethyl alcohol can be used.
