Hello. I just "built" a new tank. I'll say it's about 4 or 6 gallons. It's a 10 gallon tank that I split 3/5 of the way. I want one side to be aquatic, the other semi aquatic like a paludarium almost. Ideally I want the semi aquatic side to be the 4 gallon, and the aquatic to be 6. I plan to put various plants on both sides. I have many planted aquariums.

Would I be able to keep a salamander in either part?

Here's a picture for reference.

Thanks.

For anything truly aquatic, you would need more water, and aquatic plants

Haha. Of course I'll need more water. I just wanted to see if my seals would hold. I have 3 fully planted aquariums. I'm well aware to add plants. I should have made this clearer.

Will either side be possible provided I add water / plants?

Thanks.

Here's one of my fully planted aquariums.

Ideally for anything that will spend a lot of time in the water you're going to want a minimum of around 10 gallons, other than that, most things you will find will be either fully aquatic or fully terrestrial, there are some exceptions but they are usually fairly large as well
