My poor babies tank cracked on Monday night... So they spent the week in the tank which had just finished cycling ready for galaxy rasbora and shrimp to go in this weekend...
It took two hours and a flooded floor to completely remove the gravel and substrate out the tank, move the axolotls in, with there hides and empty the water out their old tank...
I've managed to get a new 3ft tank which is a little bit shorter than my old one but considering I needed it quick I dont think I did to bad.... they actually seem to enjoy the lower height as it makes the tank darker as the shelf is closer to the top now... and they are always out exploring.... I have had to remove there cave as it is too big for the tank but since putting the shelf in they hadnt used it to hid in but hid on under the shelf so I've put a few large rocks there to make it a different hiding spot....
Now I just have to remake my other tank
