Personally as member of the purebred dog & dog breeding community I am not a fan of the cross bred dogs especially when bred by a backyard breeders. It's the backyard breeder who doesn't understand health testing & the concept of only breeding to better the breed, just because you have a male & a female does not automatically mean you should breed them.
I'm involved in dog rescue & am constantly shocked to see how many people breed their dogs because
"They just wanted the dog to have 1litter" it's a painful unnecessary ordeal to put a domestic pet through with many risks for both mama dog & pups. Often shortening the life of the mother dog. Backyard breeders add to the huge population of dogs in society without thought or concern for the 1,000's euthanized each year in pounds.
I hope your pup has come from healthy stock & I encourage you to research a proper feeding regime - avoiding any processed (can/kibble) dog foods especially the dry foods as they are the cause of kidney cancers in dogs & cats. The best way to keep canines healthy is to feed a BARF (Biologically Appropriate Raw Food) based diet & including bones daily so the teeth don't end up rotting & falling out (all the breeds in your puppies mix are prone to major dental issues
)
Taking on a puppy is a big commitment - I hope you enjoy him & make sure to keep him healthy & happy
