Alright guys,

updated the tank with a new bit of bogwood and changed around some other bits.

Thinking of getting some java moss to grow over the bogwood at the moment, as well as a few more plants for variety.

Enjoy

Very cute axolotl! Live plants always make the tank seem more alive! They give it a touch fake plants, and bare tanks, can't do. Java moss is good, riccia is pretty good too and does okay in the colder temperatures. It's a brighter green then java moss is.

That Axolotl is really cute and i love the tank set up! A+

Cheers for the kind words people :)

Thanks Hotch for the advice on riccia, i'll definately have a look into that

Elodea is also a great plant for cold, low light tanks.

I saw this picture which i believe is marimo (ie the mossballs - proper ones) that has been made to grow on the wood and i think it looks brilliant.

Stunning tank, I love the effect of moss growing on wood, whether it's in an aquatic tank or terrestrial, I just love it!

Wow, that tank does look amazing. Lots of work, but so beautiful!
