New Newts at Petworld.

This petworld by me just got in like 10 very healthy looking fire-belly newts. They look just like my C.o.'s. I am getting a 20 gallon long for my C.o.'s after Christmas. Would I have to quarantine the new newts if I get them. If so, how long would I have to quaratine them. I was thinking I getting 2 of them. Then I'd have 4 in a 20 long.

It's always a good idea to quarantine any new animals you get as you could risk losing your present stock. I usually quarantine for about a month

Your lucky none of the stores by me even sell newts or sals.

Ya they have sals there to. They had oragon newts there awhile back too.

I just got 2 of the newts that were at petworld. They are just alittle bigger than mine right now. I have them in a 5 1/2 gallon for a month quarantine. The one littler of the 2 has only 3 front toes on one of his paws. It looks like it is healed though. I will have to watch it. But they both ate this morning and I just got them yesterday (Sat.)
