Hi guys I browse the site a lot so i decided to make an account. Ive owned quite a bit of caudates in my days, but right now I just own one female Pachytriton labitus. She is currently in a 30 gallon tank, but I was wondering what yall thought about me adding another paddle tail. I know they can be territorial and aggressive but I feel like one more addition would top off the tank. Also what do u think about the water level it is a good 10-12' now should I raise it up to about 16-18'? Thanks I hope you enjoy the pics and suggestions are welcomed :D

Welcome to you and your newt. In my opinion, I'd keep the water level at 10-12", not much deeper. I like the plants you have that go above the water line.

Adding another paddletail is not without risks. If you do try it, be sure that you add some more hiding places in the tank, places where the newt can get entirely inside, such as overturned pots with holes. At least one secure hide per newt. And be sure you have a spare tank in case it becomes necessary to separate them.

what is the plant that is growing out of the water? Also what lighting are you using and what other plants do you have in there? I'm looking for ideas for my paddle tails tank.
