Just got a pair of adult marbled salamanders yesterday!Im so stocked for future breeding attempts with these magnificent creatures. The female is 4 and a half inches and the male is a solid 4 inches. The female is huge but layedback while the male is small but jumpy, quick, and a little scared. These guys are just getting settled in a 10 gallon tank with 2 small burrows made my me under flat wood, a burrow under a big clump of moss, and a small sphagnum moss area and a water dish of course. The pair is inseparable! They share the same hide wherever they go,under a piece of wood, moss,or even behind a fake plant in the corner. Is it normal for 2 marbleds to share 1 burrow/hiding spot,i thought they like one hiding spot per salamander?
