So after some convincing my axolotl tanks are now in the living room on display with my shrimp tank. The lovely Zerrin helped me kick butt today in getting a free tank and stand and then switching around my set ups. Without further rambling, here is my adult and juvie tanks.

I'm curious - with the tank down at floor level, how are you going to change the water? Siphoning won't work as you can't put a bucket lower than the tank...

I also have a double tank stand, it is more difficult to siphon but it is possible
If you pull the bucket far away and stretch the tube long, it does siphon, its just a slower water flow so not as strong.
You can also buy an automatic siphon that doesnt require gravity i believe :happy:

Exactly what layna said but I have the kind that hooks to my sink and does it all for me. It would be insane for me to manually try to clean all my tanks.

She has this super awesome thingy that hooks up to her sinks and uses the pressure of the running water to create the suction. I think I almost tripped on it like 20 times XD

GUYS. THIS PICTURE DOES NOT EXPRESS THE HELL OUR BODIES WENT THROUGH D:

We moved a total of 310 gallons yesterday, it was INSANE. We went to this super shady house to pick up a free 55 and I could have swore something was going to jump out of a cupboard and eat us. Scary stuff. Lauren also came close to electrocuting herself, standing in a puddle from a leak in the ceiling that was dripping through a light fixture. The adrenaline from that adventure was enough to make us want to go back to her place and work on moving things around for 12 hours XD

Well here I was trying to be modest XD we really did work our butts off though.

Ahaha.. I'm surprised I didn't have nightmares over that place. Next time we get curious we really should recall that and go "uhmmm bad idea" lol. I was forbidden to move again any time soon by Zerrin.

It came out delightfully well though and Zerrin is the perfect partner in crime I must say. No complaints and she works harder than anyone else I know. She also helped me move a ton of furniture so it was more than just maneuvering tanks and stands around.

With my hilarious reactions to everything, I don't think nightmares were possible. "DEAR GOD THIS IS SO NASTY!" "What...what is that?!" That, and seeing the "special flowers" growing out of styrofoam drink cups XD

Thanks x3 had to earn my axies keep in that juvie tank. I think this site had made us very good friends :3
