Hey all,
So finally my new *and first* canister filter came in the mail yesterday! (My sand has been ordered and is waiting on me at the pet store too! What an exciting week!)
Anyways, currently my two axies are hanging out in separate 10 gallons. (They're still fairly young, but growing like weeds!) I have a 55 gallon tank that we are working on. We got it for a good deal, but the framing around it was all cracked and on top of that...ugly. We ripped that all off and are re-building a frame, constructing a stand, and building a Plexiglas top with l.e.d's and fans built in. Clearly, it's going to be roughly a month or more before we have all of this ready. I have set the new canister filter up on my other 55 gallon tropical fish tank, while still running the old filter too. (is there such a thing as over filtration? I have cut the flow rate on it fairly low) My question is if I keep it running on the fish tank this whole time when the axie tank if finally ready and I move the filter to it will the tank be ready to move them in?
Thanks in advance!
