Hey all!
As of yesterday I noticed a little critter in my FourAmigos (newts) tank, and I would like to know if it is harmful to them? I'm sure it's probably an insect morph of sorts but I don't know where it came from...I've had my live plants for at least a month now, could it have taken that long to hatch?
I've done at least 2 water changes since I got the plants, and one vacuuming of the tank because my plants were dying and leaving lots of debris, just wondering how it survived everything and what it is.
Should I remove it, or let it continue being a housemate? I do have a spare tank with no filter though, being used as a spare and has live plants and pond snails in there, should I move the critter there?
My 4 little newts aren't aquatic yet so they have no clue it's even there, and my bigger newt also in the tank doesn't seem to have an interest in it if he's seen it, he's not even interested in the guppy feeder fish I have in there.
I'm gonna include some pics, hopefully someone knows what this critter is and how it got there and what I should do with it lol!
Thanks everyone!!! :)

That´s a damselfly larva. It´s not dangerous to adult newts but it is to larvae or juveniles, they are predatory.

Oh ok,
My little guys are about 3 inches long, but they don't venture into the water yet, well at least not to the bottom unless I put them down there.
Where did this thing appear from, and why doesn't my adult newt eat it? Wouldn't that be something in the wild newts would hunt down?
So unless I want an adult big winged bug in my house I should get rid of it, or could my adult newt grow an interest in it?
