Helllo. So i am getting Axolotl eggs and was wondering if the new borns can be fed daphnia right away. I have two types of daphnia i have magna and this other one which is way smaller which is the one i plan on using. I was wondering if i should stick with microworms then go with daphnia or if this species of daphnia is small enough to feed to them.

They'll probably be able to eat the smaller daphnia right off the bat. You can also try to find a strainer to size-sort the daphnia and use the smallest ones.

A few of the eggs hatched when i checked this morning, i took a small eye dropper and sucked up some daphnia they are just a little bigger than the size of the axies eye so they should be fine eating them, and the others are the size of the head so when they grow out of that they will be ready for blackworms!

YAY!! NO NEED FOR HATCHING SHRIMP!!!:proud::proud::blob::grin::grin:

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
