New background for C.e.popei

Nice, how did you make it?

I'm planning do make a new topic in which I will describe how easy it is to make one for yourself if you have the proper materials. It's made out of roof insulation which we call (roughly translated) hard foam, which is covered in grout mixed with conrete binder. After a couple of layers it's coloured with differend colours of grout for in between tiles using the "wash method". It's made into the tank itself so there are no interstices or crevices between the background and the tank, only the ones I made intentionally.

Here's a topic describing how it works, but I want to make a new and better topic. The background in this topic is removed and replaced for the one I've just finished for the new topic. I didn't like the trunk, because I can do a better job making a fake one. Within a couple of days I will post the new topic.

It's too bad that the lightning in all of my vids is crappy, so you don't see the actual colours. I haven't found a solution to fix this.

Looks fantastic! I keep toying with the idea of making one myself but I'm not very good with a paint brush so I imagine mine might look a bit of a mess. Was it hard to paint the shadows and highlights?
