Question: New Axolotl

My axie is being shipped one day next week, I have been working over a month to set-up his/her new home, learning everything I can so I can be a good care taker, (can't say owner, cause they own you, you don't own them), any who my question is, when he arrives, what should I do, I have looked to find this info but couldn't find it,
so when I open the box and check him out, what should I do, I know he has to get used to the new water temp, but is it any different then with fish, I have Betts shipped from China, so I do know about them but not axies.

If there is somewhere on here that info is available would someone let me know. And if not would someone please help me out with this.

If he comes in a bag just float the bag on top for a while till the water temps are the same. If he comes in something strange then float a tub filled with his origional water in the tank and leave him there until the water is the same temp. Don't forget that he might not eat for a week or so

Acclimate them the same way you would with fish. Drip tank water if you can.

Ha yeah I thought I was being origional when I first thought up the name for a Blood Elf hunter in World of Warcraft. I've now heard the name more than a dozen times! and don't worry I'll pretend you named him after me
