I have 2 Axolotls
Axl and Lottie (Get it??)
the tank that they are in now is ok beacause they are both 5 1/2 inches long.
i am getting another one soon too
at the local fish place there is a tank especialy for axolotls (its alot bigger than my one at the mo and its almost 10x the size of the one i rescued them from) it comes with everything
i was wondering what plants and hiding places to get themi already have a java fern with them and some rocks to hide in.

its a rena 60

does anyone have any pic of their rena 60??

Rena filters are nice. I have two.

Keep in mind that when they say 'comes with everything', it probably comes with a bunch of stuff you don't need, like a heater or fish medication.

Usually you're better off buying your tank components separately. Why buy a heater, gravel, crappy fake plants, etc. that you don't need? You can buy the tank and the filter pretty cheap, then add the things you need, like sand (NOT gravel), silk or live plants, and appropriate food, etc.

Hey everyone, just want a little advice. Its 55 - 60 celcius in my Salamanders tank. Hes curled up and tyring ti bury himself, Im assuming hes too cold. I was wondering if he would benefit from a heated rock cave (since he LOVES his cave) that I could set on low? I NEVER see him curled up and trying to bury himself unless his tank sits at 63 degrees celcius or lower. So I am assuming hes a little uncomfortable.

He also seems a little sluggish, again, assuming hes cold. Having heating trouble with the new house right now. What do we think? Was thinking of grabbing this for him since its got very low, medium, and higher medium heat settings that exude heat downward inside the rock cave but ALSO exudes it UPWARDS outside of the rock cave, effectively keeping the tank itself a little warm. Seems like it miiiight be a little small for him though, my guy is about 7 inches from tip of his nose tothe tip of his tail.
