Hi,
I am currently cycling an axolotl tank and have some plants to add. I am aware that you should not add any plant fertiliser, co2 etc for plants as it could be dangerous for the axolotl. However I will not be introducing an axolotl for at least a couple of months (they are babies and wont be placed in this large tank for a while, but i would like to set it up now while I have time and make sure its fully cycled). I was wondering if it would be safe to add any chemicals such as fertiliser, seachem excel, potassium, nitrogen, iron or c02 to grow out the plants before I introduce the axolotls? (As the plants wont have anything to feed off) If i stop dosing a week or two before the axolotls are added would this be safe or would there still be traces in the water that could be potentially dangerous for the axolotls?
Any information would be massively appreciated !
Thank you
