Hi i have a new batch of either black or wild type eggs by the look of the colour and wondering if i can add them to some new hatchlings i have already the others are about a month old so im not sure if they would eat the new ones if added any advise is grateful thanks.

Probably best to keep them separated, once they hatch and grow some gobble down all the food and grow quick, so always a good idea to house them with similar sized juveniles.

Got a 2nd batch of eggs myself, so going to have little setups everywhere in a few weeks I am guessing. =)

yeah i was thinking the same but thanks for the reply though got my first batch of albinos and second lot of eggs not totally sure on the colour the eggs are half white and half black so im guessing wild type,

with your first batch you have are they still eating live food just wondering how old they need to be before they can eat other things

All eggs laid by a genetically dark mother (wild, melanoid, leucistic) will start out dark with a white yolk, and will develop (or lose) their color as they grow. Eggs laid by an albino start out white and then develop color from there. If you know what the parents are, you can sometimes have a good idea of what colors you could get.

Thanks for the reply i have the parents and the mother is black with a blue tinge to her, and the farther is albino and most of the eggs have black in them so im not sure but ill soon see i guess.
