Hello all! just want to share my little joy here, yesterday my new 0.0.3 T.marmoratus arrived from a breeder here in sweden, so now i gott totaly 0.0.5 juveniles in my collection! feels good hehe!

But i have a question about some coolor difference because my first two marmoratus is i little more dark green and a little bitt bigger than the new how is more light green as my 2 was at the beginning, but they ar all frome the same breeder and same litter. So i wonder if this is comon that they change coolor so fast? I have heard that they can change the coolor now and then but i dont know.

My first 2 is going realy well, eating all that i offer and are active during both day and nigth and looks healthy, and the new one has eaten today and workes fine.. The temps i have is between 15.5-18,5 deegres dependence on day and night, and the cage has a lot of hides for all the animals!

Food i offer. Compostworms, fruitflies, wax moth, and i have offer small crickets one time.

Best regards/Tomas

Hi Grius,
Yes, this color variation is normal. I think they do change color a little, and I think one variable is how wet they are.

Enjoy them!

Dear All, I would appreciate some help identifying P. waltl disease and treatment. We received newts from Europe early November and a few maybe 3/70 had what it looked like lesions under the legs- at that time we thought maybe it was the stress of travel- now we think they probably had "red leg syndrome" (see picture). However a few weeks later other newts started to develop skin lesions (picture enclosed). The sender recommended to use sulfamerazine and we have treated them 2x and we are not sure they are all recovering. Does anyone have any experience with P. waltl diseases and could give some input on this? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
