What do I have to do to a terracotta pot before I put it into a newly filled (no acolotls yet) tank? Or can I just put it in straight away?... Also, how long do I have to wait before I can put plants in the tank? Thanks

Just wash off the terracotta pot in warm water until all dirt/debris are removed, and make sure there are no labels on it! Ready to go.
It's a good idea to quarantine any plants for a week or two to make sure there's no snails or other issues with the plant before placing it into your main tank.
