Thanks to Rick my first Axolotl showed up safe and sound this morning. I got some pictures as quickly as I could. Please forgive the yucky outside of the tank. I ran out of my vinegar cleaner and I haven't been to the store.

The first is a full picture of the tank. I was wondering on the second picture the red spot on his tummy is that normal? Other than that enjoy!

Your little one is very little:p. So cute!

The red spot may be down to the blood worms its eating, I don't see any thing to worry about..one day i hope to have a leucistic too.;)

Hello there, I have 7 larvae of a similar size to yours and they all have this red spot. I think it's one of their internal organs (liver or something like that).
Your baby looks kind of dwarfed by the flower pot, doesn't it? Amazing to think that before long he'll (she'll) be as long as (or longer than) that pot!
Congratulation on the new addition to your family, Kerry.
