New 400L tank what filtration to use?

Hello all, so getting back into axolotls again, i decided it would be wise to buy a 400l tank on a spur of the moment decision. Now i need to look out for an external filter as i bought tank only?! Any recomendations or filters to avoid? ive found several for around £45 but knowing these will be budget very cheap possibly very nasty jobbies? (stating they pump 1000l/h) how many l/h would be recommended?
Any comments would be appreciated?!
