I have 25 babies that just developed their arms and actually just started accepting blood worms today when hand fed, They are all in their own small rubbermaid containers, 1 per container. i started with a lot more larvae than this and hadgreat luck maintaining the bbs, im thinking the majority of the fatalities were due to overcrowding as i had to keep a few per container for a while. Now my rowdy parents have laid another clutch of close to 300, I have a buyer for about half of them thankfully and i plan to raise the rest. I need recomendations on containers that wont break the bank, how many i'll need for the first few weeks, and how many would be safest per container leaving me with the most alive. I know there will be deaths and im expecting it, i know that not all will live to become juveniles. Can i keep them seperated into about 10 large tubs at first or would you recomend buying more and seperating them further? I would be able to buy enough for all of them, The problem is i cant buy them all at once and i need to rearange my aquarium room to accomadate more containers while keeping them all the perfect temp as well. I really want a better life expectancy out of this clutch, i feel like i failed misserably with the last, though now that they are in their own seperate containers they are thriving and growing at an amazing rate. Any and all advice on raising alot of axolotles is greatly appreciated, Even if it doesnt have to do with containers. This will be my second try at this, I've only had the parents for ariund 3 months, before this i had never owned a pet like this, They sort of just suprised me with babies and keep suprising me lol, I didnt have the heart to cull them so i gave it a whirl. Any advise on how you raise up the most babies will be helpfull, Im learning all this on the fly. If i managed to upload them correctly i've attached images og the newest eggs as well as my babies that are around and inch and a half at the moment!
