Could anyone let me know if a product called ( Seachem Flourite Sand- Black) be a good substrate to use for my new and 1st Axolotl?
I was going to go with a product called (Carib-Sea Instant Aquarium in Tahitian Moon) but was told by my supplier this Tahitian Moon is sharp and not fine, they didn't feel it would be safe. but they did suggest I use the ( Seachem Flourite Sand in Black, I checked it out and just got more confused, please help I want to make sure I do everything right, I would hate to cause harm.
I have also read that not all chlorine and chloramine removers are safe for axololts, could someone suggest on that is safe.
Thank you

Hello there,

I have spoken with some people who have used Seachem Flourite Sand - Black and they have all had positive results. So I think that should be fine for your new Axolotl :)

As for the chlorine remover, I use AquaSafe as it also adds that helpful slime into the tank for the Axolotl's shimmering little body :)

Hope this helps somewhat :)

Thank you so much,
I have to get my order in for a bag of it to get the tank to cycling for my New lil man.
I use Aqua-Safe on my other fish so I don't have to get something new for that.
Again thank you.
