I sold all my cichlid . now I can set up my 75 gallon for my axolotl. I need to empty the tank, remove the crush coral, put the new sand, remove the heater, add plants and hide.....I think the only thing I am not sure... Are the filters.
Axolotl and cichlid dont need the same kind of parameter. Do I have to change All the media or just clean thm(eheim and fkuval 404)

How long do I have to wait before I put the axololtl in the new tank?

How many axololt can I put in a 75 gallon?

Cycling is a chemical process and not dependant on species. Your filter medium should be good if you have kept up 'feeding' of the cycle with poop or ammonia. If your cichlid was healthy you shouldn't have any issues, you just need to adjust the tank for an axie.

If you have let your filter dry out you'll need to start again

You could keep 6 axies comfortably in a 75gal. But I would add them a couple at a time so that the cycle can adjust.

the tank is still going i have that tank for almost 2 years with 2 filter.( i ll keep just one for the axolotl)
i dont see any sickness in my tank. no death in about a year( death because they fight.. the fish)

i am so happy to put them in my big tank
