Hi Daniel, this information may be helpful:

1. I do not understand the question. You want to make your newts more terrestrial? Most people like to keep them more aquatic.

2. Yes, as long as the worms are clean and healthy. Tubifex have a bad reputation for carrying diseases, as they are sometimes grown in filthy waterways. Earthworms (cut in pieces) may be better.

3. See "setups" article above.

4. They usually breed in the winter/spring. Since you just got them, it may take until next year before they are ready to breed.

Good luck!

About the first question i was meaning like how do i make my newts more terrestrial....

Cynops orientalis newts are aquatic animals and should not be forced to go terrestrial. Sometimes the animals will go through phases in their lives where they become primarily terrestrial, but this is often because they are stressed and is usually seen as a problem, sometimes it happens spontaniously. The are much easier to feed, breed, and care for when they are aquatic. If you wish to make your animals more terrestrial for no other reason than to watch them utillise the land section of the aquarium more often or so you don't have to do water changes and put them in a completely or mostly terrestrial environment, then I would highly suggest that you don't attempt this. Newts should have the choice to live on either land or water, provided either option is safe, regardless of how their owner wants them to behave.

SORRY!!
Maybe i didn't explain myself ok...i just was asking that because i was curious about that little change of mind about newts to be terrestrial or aquatic.
But thanks for your opinions.

I recommened putting an island or something your newts can float on to come out of the water and onto dry land
